1st Flush Darjeeling. Spring harvested tea with a bright and lively flavour.
Darjeelings are named after the region of India they are grown in – Darjeeling. The Flush part of the name refers to when in the season the tea was harvested. Darjeelings are harvested 3 times: In the spring, summer, and fall. Each harvest (and farm) brings a different kind of finished product. Our Spring Darjeeling (1st flush) grows high in the hills just below the Himalayas. It’s harvested in the Spring (usually during the monsoon season) with the final result of a bright, light cup of tea with unmistakable muscatel notes.
