The product story
Brazilian green mate tea is also known as Yerba mate , as well as Paraguay tea. It is a staple beverage in South America, and is loved for both its abundant caffeine and antioxidants. Green mate comes from an herb native to South America that is related to holly. The leaves are oval and about 8 inches long. I went on a trip this January to Brazil and had the Mate tea there. When I returned, I received an email from Vintage Fork and thought I would just see if they had this product. To my pleasant surprise there it was Brazilian Green Mate. This tea is excellent tasting and has a very distinctive flavour which I like. It is high in caffein so not for everyone but I highly recommend it for the natural antioxidants it contains.
